Portarlington
Portarlington Golf Club
The Course
Playability is the buzzword for this constantly evolving par-72 layout. It can play nearly 6000m from the tips, yet remains accessible to all with only gentle undulations and a range of teeing grounds. The course features native flora, but has expansive and immaculate couch fairways plus spectacular bentgrass greens that put a focus on strategy rather than brute force.
History
Founded in 1909 and relocated to the current site in 1937, Portarlington has evolved from sand scrapes and sheep grazing to become one of regional Victoria’s finest semi-private facilities, with members taking great pride in continual course improvements guided by renowned architects to complement the growth of the clubhouse and amenities over the decades.
